If you haven't seen it before, Wiele keeps your work folders in the cloud, saves every version of them and shares them with your team and the AI tools you all use.

Why I built it

My AI tools edit real files now. Proposals, notes, spreadsheets, prompts. One run can change thirty files, and a cloud drive sees thirty unrelated saves. When two people's agents work in the same folder, somebody ends up comparing conflicted copies by hand. I wrote about that in more detail in an earlier post.

We already use Wiele heavily ourselves. It's where my team keeps the work our AI tools touch: shared prompts, playbooks, agent skills and the documents we write with AI. Each of us points our own agent at the same folders and pushes when a change is ready, so everyone's AI reads the current version. When something looks off, the history shows who changed what, and we can bring back the earlier version. It's made working together on AI-assisted work easier than anything we used before.

Who it's for

People and small teams who already let AI do real work on their files. Consultants who keep one folder per client. Ops and marketing teams who want the same playbook in every AI tool. Founders and analysts whose agents edit spreadsheets and reports. If your AI tool can run terminal commands, it can use Wiele.

What's in the launch

• Version 1.0 of the CLI on npm, for macOS and Linux on Node 24.20 or newer. A checkout is a plain folder. You fetch it, edit it with anything and push when it's ready. Agent skills ship with it, so your AI knows how to use Wiele next time.
• A web app at app.wiele.io. Browse and download files, look through the history, invite people by email and manage billing.
• A remote MCP server at https://api.wiele.io/mcp that takes a bearer token. It works in Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. You can't connect claude.ai or ChatGPT yet. Their connectors need OAuth, which Wiele doesn't have.
• Versioned folders. Every push saves one version of the whole workspace with a note on what changed. Wiele keeps every version until you set a limit, such as the last 10 versions or 180 days, for a workspace or a single folder. If two people change the same file, the second push stops with a conflict and nothing gets overwritten.
• Sharing. Invite your team to a workspace, or give a contractor or client one folder and nothing else.

Pricing

Starter is $4.99 a month with 100 GB and up to 3 team members, Pro is $24.99 with 500 GB and unlimited members, Enterprise starts at $199.99 with 5 TB, and extra storage on every plan costs $0.05 per GB each month.

Every organization gets one 7-day free trial. You add a card to start it, nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends. Storage counts every version you keep, so a retention limit is how you keep the bill down.

How to start

Go to wiele.io, copy the setup prompt and paste it into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or any AI tool that runs terminal commands. Your AI installs the CLI, signs you in with a code from your email, starts the trial, creates a workspace and saves a first file. It only stops to ask for your email, the code and a card.
